Meritocracy Discussion Q & A
QUESTION: "Government is slavery so why are you trying to impose force on others?"
ANSWER: The question posed is popular among proponents of anarchy, who believe that any type of authority that rules with force upon another is committing violence. An anarchist will also point out that etymologically , the word "government" itself comes from the Latin 'gubernare mentis' which literally translates to "governing the mind" synonymous to "mind control" and "slavery."
These 2 points of the anarchist objectively hold weight, and it is understandable why some humans may want to dissolve themselves from all rulers after living on Earth and experiencing the decline under poor rulership, but anarchy itself is not sustainable in a densely populated multi-cultural society.
Sure maybe if you were starting a new mindful community from scratch with a small population of people where everyone was in sync with one another in terms of rational thinking and behavior, and everyone existed within the same frequency range, you would not need to have a government that rules by force.
But hypothetically speaking, if the opportunity arose where a country like America could have its current lobbyist-infected government proactively replaced within a quick transformation to a new style of government, anarchy would NOT work, due to the substantial percentage of the population who are irrational in their thoughts and actions, and who do not understand the importance and beauty of cooperation.
But the rational human who currently maintains an anarchist disposition, should not fear meritocracy because it is actually a natural development of civilization. A rational human who currently recognizes no rulers, eventually realizes that in order to exist in an optimized intelligent society that maintains its optimization and does not slip into ruin, the most talented and intelligent must lead that society.
